1. Ensure slab penetration is at least 26mm larger than damper size. Example: 400 x 250 damper requires an opening of 426 x 276 (see illustration).

2.
Remove flange screws and detach flanges from casing. NOTE: "AIRFLOW" direction is optional.

3.
Slide damper down into opening.

4. Replace flanges making sure that the damper is firmly fixed within the slab. NOTE: Do not overtighen flange screws.

5. Connect ductwork to fire damper using fire rated mastic to fill recess if using raw edge connection, or apply mastic to both surfaces of the TDF flange connections. (Bolts must be of a low melting point material.)

 

 



All fire dampers shall be accessible and maintained in accordance with AS1851.Part6
